The shortgrass prairie continues to deny Spring wildflower colors. Several patches of Rose Heath Asters (aka White Aster) are the sole vernal flora subject matter I discover on my morning outing with Cooper. The predicted high winds in the 40+ mph range and gusts up to 60 mph still linger beyond the horizon.
On return to our home garden I turn my creative urges loose. Spring babies beckon for digital immortality. I pray they survive the furies rolling towards our prairie hamlet.
