A babbling brook the path defines,
For souls adrift in torrents of despair.
While winter slumbers in the pines
Become the light, the mists, the air.

This image of a forest stream in winter captured by a friend inspires my poem. She's a photographer and poet extraordinaire, a gentle spirit. She quotes Henry David Thoreau's essay Walking..."...all good things are wild and free."
Yum! To poem and image. Thank you, Ilija! Cheers! George ~
ReplyDeleteThank you, George...my inspirations to wax poetic have many sources...you are one of them.
